Info on Blu-ray Copy options

Now that Blu-ray Disc is the dominant, ubiquitos and most popular high definition physical media format after winning the HD format war, it's no wonder that people are looking for solutions on how to copy their blu-ray discs.

The importance of backing up your media cannot be understated. And while most Blu-ray Discs do come equipped with a "hard coat" layer to protect the discs from scratches & superficial damage, it's no guarantee that the disc won't become unreadable, destroyed or lost. Enter backups!

Every IT professional knows that a data backup plan is a must if you value your data. Media always fails, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.

You can backup blu-ray discs to digital files or you can make a copy of your discs and burn them to another black Blu-ray media (BD-R, BD-RE, etc).

Many Blu-ray duplication apps cost money, and they can be quite pricey, but thankfully there are some freeware and trial-ware Blu-ray copying apps available for you to check out. This site has a good compilation of the available Blu-ray apps that are worthy of your consideration. Check it out!
